We had good sex the other night, and it was slow! I was pretty surprised. I was still hurting a little, but it was nice. I can't believe how quickly he came considering he wasn't like... you know, pounding me into the bed. He actually spent time kissing my neck and back and that got me aroused pretty nicely. Good to know it can still happen without having to have a penis pushed in me.
Also, I got books. It's driving me nuts that they haven't posted a what you bought or received in January thread on OF. I have so many I want to list!

- I met Brandon Sanderson, my first author, in a Borders in Redmond, WA. He seems like a sweet geek, totally like a normal person. I mean, of course he's a normal person, authors aren't gods. But I was surprised by his humility and devotion to writing. I believe he'll do well by Robert Jordan's legacy.

- I moved from South Carolina to Seattle. A three day trip in a car ride, and a helluva lot of money getting things packed and moving into a new place. But it's much better, despite the lack of sunlight. I think the first year will be worst, and I get depressed in January- April anyway.

- I lived in two other places: Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Hanover, New Jersey. I worked temp in Abq for the end of last year through January of this year. I got to go to my first casino, see my first "real" mountain (the actual prompt to move out west, if you want the truth), ate at this amazing Brazilian restaurant called Tucano's. A few weeks after leaving Abq, I drove up to New Jersey by myself and stayed at a hotel for a two month period. Nick stayed home to pack up the house, but I had Angus and Ollie with me for company. I lost a little bit of weight at this gym across the highway from where I was at, and had a great personal trainer while I was there. Biggest problem being that you can't turn left on main roads in Jersey! I also had two flat tires while there. I loved where I worked, though. Got grand reviews, had a lot of responsibility. Met some friends there as well. Is it weird that I actually miss New Jersey??

- I got to see Miriam for the first time in ages, on the way to Seattle. We took a small detour into the Salt Lake City area where she is currently living. She looks great and seems to have her life in order. Much more than I do! She loved Nick. I didn't get to meet her new husband, though. She is now pregnant with a little girl and working hard to finish her schooling.

- My marriage turned a year old on June 29th. I can't imagine life without my husband. He saved my life, and I mean that literally. Without him, I would have committed suicide eventually, I think. Or gone off with some crazy who would have killed me. Just his mere presence is like a balm to my soul.

- I got snow twice in the month of April (and threw Ollie in it.) Once in Wyoming on the way here (jeez, a lot happened on that trip!) and then once after we got here. We have also gotten a lot this month, which is highly unusual for the northwest, which usually has a mild winter. I'm not complaining, though. I love the snow!

- I've gained about 20 lbs. Ugh, I'd rather not talk about that part. ;)

I seem to have nightmares a lot on this medication.

Last night was disturbing. I was a captive of a guy who was sort of Freddy Krueger-ish. I don't know what specifically. I mean, he wasn't burned or anything, though I do think he had some sort of claw-like hand covers or something. Anyway, he would murder people, though I don't think I was around to see most of them, and then I would fight him, but he would always win and then he would torture me, mostly sexually. I was there when the investigators arrived, but he hid me away so they wouldn't find me. I saw Mariska Hargitay (from Law and Order SVU) come in and realize it was him. I turned away to another scene at that moment, though I asked him later if she survived, and he grinned at me all creepy-like and then said she hadn't.
The worst part of the dream was at the end, when I stumbled upon him killing these people in a bar. He had a big tub with him and he forced me to take a bath in their bodily fluids. Ugh. But it wasn't blood, it was yellow and clear, like peritoneal, pleural, and spinal fluid with some urine. He said it would cleanse me.

Every day, I say something or other that makes me think it will end up in a nightmare, and I'll mentally take it and close it behind a door. And I won't dream of it. But there's no way I can put everything behind a door like that. So something always comes out of my subconscious to fuck with me. I mean, where did that come from?? I feel violated.

Oh sweet nurse angel. *sighs*

I went to the doctor on Monday for some blood sugar issues, and he decided to take a baseline CBC, CMP, and thyroid panel. And something else, dunno what. So naturally this means I have to have a bunch of blood taken, and I hate having blood taken. I used to pass out all the time. Now I don't really, but it still sucks. A few years ago when I was hospitalized for dehydration, three nurses tried to stick me six times before a doctor came in and did it herself. And even she had to twist it like seven times. Ugh. That was for the IV.
Anyway, I asked to lay down and she let me. I was watching her as she was sticking me. Normally I prefer to pretend it's not happening, but I couldn't take my eyes off this girl. I asked her where she was from. She sounded like she had a weird French-ish accent to me. She's from Tunisia, with Arabic being her first language (naturally), French her second, and English her third. She could've been Idina Menzel's sister. (I <3333333 Idina Menzel. She's so gorgeous!)

It was the first time I've ever not wanted to stop having my blood drawn.

That's Idina at the top. ;)

Today I feel...: eh

Question: How do you force yourself to do something you don't really want to do? How do you motivate yourself?

(Especially after a 10 hour workday).

Conversation with Nick:

Nick: You should see this woman. My leg could get lost in her camel toe, she's so fat.
Me: Ewww, no thanks. You know what I find odd, though? When a woman looks so much bigger than me, but doesn't weigh near as much as I do.
Nick: That's because you have a lot of muscle mass. Though I don't understand how, it's not like you do anything.

Thanks, hon. :P

Also, I want to get motivated. Did I mention that? Why in the hell is it so hard? I need to work out, basically. I want to get back to the little hottie I once was. :( I need some suggestions.

Hi all!

I am so sorry that I haven't been around to update in forever. Is long story, but to make it short, I was working in Albuquerque when I was sent to New Jersey. I didn't have internet access there. Then we moved out of our house, which is on the market now. We are living in Everett, Washington, where I got a permanent job working at a research company. That's the short version. Washington is beautiful. The funniest thing was, we have hit snow in *April*. On the way here, 4-9, we got held up in Laramie, Wyoming in a snowstorm that closed the roadways. Then on 4-11, Friday, we had to get here quick so I could get my pre-employment screening done, and we ended up in avalanche control in the pass that leads to Seattle through the mountains. We waited for an hour and a half. There was literally 10 feet of snow on the side of the road. Then... a week and a half ago, we got 8 inches of snow here in Everett. How weird.

Anyway, I'll start updating more soon. Miss you guys!

You Are A:

True Neutral Human Druid (4th Level)

Ability Scores:
Strength- 12
Dexterity- 16
Constitution- 10
Intelligence- 18
Wisdom- 16
Charisma- 13

Alignment:
True Neutral- A true neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. He doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most true neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil after all, he would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, he's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some true neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. True neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion. However, true neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it represents apathy, indifference, and a lack of conviction.

Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Class:
Druids- Druids gain power not by ruling nature but by being at one with it. They hate the unnatural, including aberrations or undead, and destroy them where possible. Druids receive divine spells from nature, not the gods, and can gain an array of powers as they gain experience, including the ability to take the shapes of animals. The weapons and armor of a druid are restricted by their traditional oaths, not simply training. A druid's Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that they can cast.

Dec. 16th, 2007 @ 08:40 pm 7 reasons I love my husband...
The sounds caressing my ears:: America- Man's Road

 1. His presence is like a balm to my soul. It's almost like he has an aura that calms me no matter what I'm feeling.

2. He accepts me for who I am. He never tries to change me, even when I'm in moods he can't understand.

3. He's gorgeous and sexy on the outside. I'm always amazed at how looking at him makes me feel, butterflies and all that stuff that I thought would be gone long ago.

4. He's beautiful on the inside. Even though he pretends to be evil and mean sometimes, he really cares about people, about the kids he takes care of, about those he loves.

5. He loves with all his heart. Never in my life did I think I'd find someone who loves as deeply as I do.

6. His sense of humor is so close to my own. He makes me laugh and smile no matter how dark my day is.

7. He's more sexually compatible with me than anyone I ever met. He knows what I like and how to push my buttons. But the best part is, we don't have to have sex to really enjoy each other.

A: Well, I was in one for quite some time. Hell, three at various points. And one of them worked out quite nicely!

Q: Is there a person who is on your mind right now?
A: Yes

Q: Do you think that a person is thinking of you too?
A: He's probably thinking about his customers. Damn customers.

Q: Where is the last place you went?
A. Smith's groceries.

Q: Do you look like your mom or dad?
A: My mom, yes. My dad- so say people who have met him.

Q: Do you have any siblings?
A: Yes

Q: Do you smile often?
A: When Nick is around, yeah. I try to as much as possible anyway.

Q: Do you wish upon stars?
A: I'm always in cities, so I never see them. :(

Q: Are you a friendly person?:
A: Oh is that a loaded question. I'm guarded, until you  get to know me, then I'm insane.

Q: Whose bed did you sleep in last night?
A: Uh, mine.

Q: What color shirt are you wearing?
A: My robe is white.

Q: What were you doing at 12 last night?
A: Sleeping, but barely.

Q: When was the last time you cried?
A: Friday, a week and a half ago.

Q: Do you get angry easily?
A: I'm usually pretty calm, but if you piss me off, I'm done with you.

Q: What was your last thought before you went to sleep last night??
A: Probably something crazy, like It's a pilloh? Bonus for those who get that reference!

Q: Take any vitamins?
A: I take enough pills as is!

Q: What are you about to do?
A: Get some water and listen to music.

Q: Do you ever check your phone waiting for someone to call?
A: Yeah, I'm obsessive.

Q: Rate life as of right now 1-10.
A: 6. The out look is good, the day to day could use some help. My finances aren't good and lately my job has been shit. But I do have my husband, who is remarkably good at making me less serious.

Q: Would you say that most people who first meet you like you?
A: I'm a love-me or hate-me kind of person. People usually don't know how to take me at first. I'm rather blunt, and I'm not so good at the small talk.

Today I feel...: aggravated
The sounds caressing my ears:: Kelly Clarkson- Beautiful Disaster
It's almost like being drunk. Only not as peaceful. I'm agitated, I can't focus, I can't stay entertained. And that makes me... cycle. Between energy (and no way to release it) and sadness. What reason do I have to be sad???

God, everyone is fighting their demons right now. I feel so bad for not keeping my friends closer to me. Now I feel like no one is here for me, and that's my fault. I don't talk to anybody anymore. I feel out of the loop. \
But my marriage is wonderful. I would never regret a single second spent with Nick. I feel like I've found the exact thing I've been seeking my whole life. We hold each other every night, and for those moments, my fears and pain go away.

Isn't it weird, then, that I feel like this? Let's just say I'm not suicidal, but I can see how this would drive people to it. Hypomania is one of the best things I've ever felt. Euphoria! But now it's gone too far. I need to stay on my meds. I only missed two days, last week! And not even together. Let this be a lesson, kiddies!
